Tim Peck, Director of Worship
Place of Birth: Tallahassee, FL
Married to Tabitha Peck
Children: Two lovely daughters Kyla and Adelyn
Education: After high school (Leon High School ’06), during which time Tim received Christ, he attended Florida State University and earned a Bachelor’s in Music Education (Choral) and a Guitar Performance Certificate.
Background: Tim began his teaching career at Leon High School, teaching one class of Sound Engineering two years (2010-2012). In his second year teaching, Tim began his seven-year tenure as Chorus and Guitar teacher at Fairview Middle School in Tallahassee (2011-2018). Tim was Director of the annual Spring Musical at Fairview for his final three years. (He spent one additional year teaching a single class of Sound Engineering at Leon 11-12 and Technical Theatre at Lincoln HS 15-16). Tim loved teaching, but felt called to look elsewhere in 2018, and God called him to Thomasville First United as the Director of Contemporary Worship. But during his time preparing to be Interim Chancel Choir Director, he was again called to serve, transitioning to Director of Worship. Tim oversees all planning and coordinating of both Contemporary and Traditional Sunday Services, leads the Praise Team, Conducts Chancel Choir, rehearses Youth Band, coordinates all other music ensembles, and serves as Technical Director of the church.
Hobbies: In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, playing music with his friends, watching documentaries, and designing/mixing audio for Musical Theatre.
Favorite Dessert: The type of chocolate chip cookie that forces you to stop and appreciate existence.
