Married to Rev. Carrie Myers

Ken is a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was awarded a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1995 and is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. He has served churches in different capacities for 26 years throughout the South Georgia and North Florida areas. Those responsibilities included Associate Pastor, Minister of Pastoral Care and Discipleship, and various senior pastor roles. In 2016, he received a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regent University and in 2017, he began to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling and Counselor Education at the University of Florida. He successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, “Empowering Survivors to Speak Their Truth”: An Exploration of Counselors’ Lived Experiences of Providing Therapy with Adult Male Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse,” on February 23, 2021.


Besides counseling, Ken has a heart and passion to help people grow in their relationship with Christ. Whether that is working with individuals in a discipleship capacity, helping Sunday School classes find teaching materials, or leading small group experiences, his desire is to help people experience the knowledge and love of Christ for themselves.
